This Blues Dancing lesson introduces a modern style of blues that’s perfect for the rhythms of jazz and blues music. Jonathan teaches dancers how to connect with a partner and the music\, drawing inspiration from vintage dances like Ballroomin’ and Slow Drag. Learn to build a strong foundation with defined technique and essential swing moves\, giving you the confidence to own any dance floor when a slow song comes on.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Blues Dancing?\n \n  \nWhat is Ballroomin’?\n \n  \nWhat is Slow Drag?\n \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nAbout The Cove Swing Club – Located Inside King Charles Plumbing Heating & Air \n \n\nA fellow swing dancer with an HVAC business opened his warehouse to his fellow swing dancers\, so look for the King Charles signage and red light. The floor space is 1000 sq. ft. with an additional 600 sq. ft. of lounge space.  \n  \nFood and Drinks\nThere is free\, filtered water right out of taps! There’s a convenience store close by and a few restaurants within two miles. \n  \nAir Conditioning\nYes. Currently a 5 ton AC\, being upgraded to a 10 ton AC. The owner of the space owns an HVAC company and he swing dances – he knows just how important cool air is. Lucky us! \n  \nParking\nParking is plentiful\, free\, and located all around the property. The venue has 30 parking spots with overflow parking on the street.  \n  \nDance Guidelines\n\nFrequently wash/sanitize hands during the event\nDo not attend if you are experiencing COVID symptoms\, feel sick\, or have been exposed. Help us keep the community healthy; stay home when not feeling well! \nRemember\, NO always means NO. Keep in mind that more people than usual may want to limit the number of partners they dance with in an evening.
