South Central Swing at the Duce marks the return of Savage Rhythm to The Duce for a one-night swing dance event. Long known as one of the best places to dance in Phoenix, The Duce reopens its floor for an evening of swing and jazz music, dancing, and cocktails in its 17,000-square-foot space. For many in the community, it marks a long-awaited chance to dance there again.

About The Lesson and Social Dancing
You’ll learn a little East Coast with a little Lindy thrown in, then the social dancing starts immediately after the lesson ends. You’ll see a variety of different dances on the dance floor, including the Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Shag, Balboa, Charleston, and sometimes a little Blues.
Music The music is created by live DJs who play a range of swing music from the 1900s to the 1940’s, with a mix of fast and slow tempos. From big band to blues, the DJs work hard to bring you the best variety of swing music and welcome requests.
Age Range The average age at The Duce is twenties on up.

Food and Drinks There’s handcrafted Prohibition-era cocktails using organic spirits & fresh produce, and the food was featured in Diner’s, Dive’s and Drive-In’s. You can’t miss here!

Do not attend if you are experiencing COVID symptoms, feel sick, or have been exposed. Help us keep the community healthy; stay home when not feeling well!
Remember, NO always means NO. Keep in mind that more people than usual may want to limit the number of partners they dance with in an evening. Please be respectful of others’ choices and boundaries.
