Saturday night at SwingdepenDANCE features live music from the Howard Alden All-Stars Jazz Band, bringing one of the world’s top jazz guitarists to the dance floor for an evening of Lindy Hop and social dancing. The night also includes the finals of the Arizona Swing Dance Championships around 11 PM, with late-night dancing and food continuing after the main dance into the early morning hours.

Four nights of dancing, two nights of live music, workshops with Grace Babbes and Patrick Stephanoff, competitions, DJs, and late-night dancing make this one of Phoenix’s biggest swing dance weekends of the summer. The holiday weekend event brings together dancers from across the scene for workshops, social dancing, and live music all weekend long.

About Guild of the Vale

Step into the Guild of the Vale and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back in time – this historic building looks like a castle on the outside, and has a 1,400 sq. ft. fast wood floor and a stage on the inside. The vintage feel is truly unforgettable! The venue is still in the same historic building it has always been in, but with a new name.
